Choose life, then, that you and your descendants may live, by loving the LORD, your God, obeying his voice, and holding fast to him. - Deuteronomy 30:19-20
Respect Life Committee
The faith community of Good Shepherd Parish is called to embrace the Culture of Life. In pursuit of this goal, we, the Respect Life Committee, humbly accept our mission to foster an awareness of the dignity and sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death.
We are dedicated to promoting the clarity of Catholic teaching on all life issues. Through prayer, education, advocacy, pastoral outreach, and works of charity, the Respect Life Committee will compassionately and tirelessly work to promote a Culture of Life in our community and beyond.
The Respect Life Committee is active in assisting local pregnancy centers through fundraising, participating in the March for Life and 40 Days for Life, helping with pro-life youth events, providing pertinent information to the parish, and more! Are you interested in supporting the Culture of Life?
The Issues we address include:
Abortion
Contraception / Sterilization
Assisted suicide / Euthanasia
Post Abortion healing
Natural Family Planning (NFP)
Stem Cell Research
Death Penalty Infertility
(IVF vs moral treatments)
We welcome new members, so please join us!
The Respect Life Committee generally meets the last Sunday of the month at 11:00am at the Parish Office – periodically the meetings are changed to a different date or time, so please confirm the meeting with Susan Andrews at 443-206-3094 or [email protected] before attending.
“We are not some casual and meaningless product of evolution. Each of us is the result of a thought of God. Each of us is willed, each of us is loved, each of us is necessary.” -Pope Benedict XVI
