Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation
Candidates for sacramental preparation for Confirmation are required to complete successfully the prior year of catechesis as well as the current year through a Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) and/or attendance at a Catholic School. For example, a current ninth-grader would have had to complete both the eighth grade catechesis last year and the ninth grade program this year in order to be eligible to begin preparation for Confirmation.
Candidates must also have received the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Eucharist.
Notification of eligibility for Confirmation preparation will be sent via mail from the Christian Formation Office to all youth in 9th through 12th grades who are eligible for the Confirmation Program.
