3D"*"      Disc= ussed the upcoming “Walk for Life” benefiting = Cecil County Pregnancy Center.

The Walk takes= place on Saturday, April 24. We will be handing out sponsor sheets after masses on the weekend of April 10 and 11. We each chose a mass to cover .Stephanie brought up the fact that we could hand out the sponsor sheets at the Sunday breakfast.

 

3D"*"      Step= hanie spoke about a fundraiser called “Sew and Reap Community Quilt Project”.

     A friend of Step= hanie’s makes quilts for people suffering from cancer. Her friend is

    A cancer survivor and = is the founder of this project. Stephanie asked her if she would make us a baby qu= ilt for our Respect Life group. Sa= ndy was accepting of the idea and will        =        

   be making one for Mother’s Day. We decided the style and colors at the meeting.= We   all needed to donate ten doll= ars each for supplies and a Bible saying. We will be selling    tickets to win the quil= t. The       money raised will be placed in our account. We hope to use   the money to purchase a banne= r for the “March for Life” in Washington.

 

3D"*"      Laur= ie talked about the Catholic Women’s Fellowship Luncheon. It will be hel= d on April 14, from 11:00 to 2:00pm. The speaker will be Linda Brenegan. She is = the Respect Life Program Director of the Archdiocese of <= st1:place w:st=3D"on">Baltimore.

 

3D"*"      We t= hanked Paula for inviting Rachel Watkins and her husband to speak about “Marriage Insurance”. There was great feedback about the speake= rs and the topic.

 

3D"*"      Pro-= Life bumper stickers are now in each church. Hopefully people will take them and spread pro-life messages while they drive!

 

3D"*"      The Mother’s Day event will be on May 9th. We will be selling roses for Birthright of Delaw= are and selling tickets for the baby quilt.

 

3D"*"      Mr. = Stan Stankewicz is the new Director of the Family Life Bureau for the Archdioces= e of Wilmington. Respect Life groups in parishes can call him for any questions concerning pro-life issues.

 

3D"*"      The = book “Lime 5” will be passed around the group to whoever would like = to read it.

 

3D"*"      The = Health Care Bill will be voted on today. It has language in it that will increase abortion by 30%.
