Mission Statement of Good Shepherd Parish

The community of Good Shepherd Parish, which incorporates the churches of St. Agnes, Good Shepherd and St. Teresa, strives to live as disciples of Jesus Christ.

Located in Cecil County, Maryland within the Diocese of Wilmington, Delaware, we are called together in a unique way to live out the Gospel under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and to work with eachother in forming a faith community.

Rooted in the Gospel we see our mission: To provide worship that will deepen our spiritual and moral lives, to educate all people academically and spiritually, to evangelize, and to develop effective outreach programs that will promote peace and justice in our parish community and world.

We strive to live out this faith committment in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere mindful of the fact that "where two or three are gathered together in His name, there He is in the midst of them." Matt 18:20 (Lent, 1991)
